The Role:
Cash Store Financial is looking for a Digital Strategist to be an integral member of the Marketing team. You will be responsible for creating and managing online initiatives built to generate revenue. You will research and develop opportunities to enhance the online brand and strategize key marketing platforms in which to develop. Additionally, you will track and analyze the results of each campaign to determine their success. This position requires an entrepreneurial individual with excellent analytical abilities. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with strong attention to detail an ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment, and a desire to help shape the overall business strategy.
More specifically, this involves:
- Digital Marketing Strategy & Analysis
o   Implement online marketing programs designed to develop branding and drive key performance metrics.
o   Leverage key analytics systems to evaluate the performance of initiatives. Implement the latest campaign tracking mechanisms to track website traffic, analyze marketing and social media campaigns, identify trends and provide strategic recommendations for improvements.
o   Work closely within the Marketing team to plan and execute promotions
o   Work with business stakeholders to devise reports that are meaningful to their business objectives while increasing their understanding of online activity
o   Monitor competitor websites and competitor's online activities
o   Knowledge-share and coach online team members on E-Marketing trends, best practices, processes, and applications
o   Work with external consultants to implement new online capabilities and act as an internal consultant for various corporate initiatives.
o   Identify opportunities to improve or augment date structures
o   Develop and manage a web analytics report to track website presence, RSS results, Google Adwords and more for each campaign.
- Community Management
o   Responsible for driving a strong and vibrant online community within Cash Store Financial including social features such as blogging, newsletters, social media feeds, comments, etc.
o   Monitor comments and interactions
o   Responsible for optimizing the company presence on social media
- Website Maintenance
o   Develop website copy, landing pages, banner creative and additional website content.
o   Ensure integrity, usability and relevance of websites over time
- Online advertising campaign management
o   Implement and execute linking strategy. Develop relationships with linking partners, directory listings, and co-marketing partners.
o   Develop and manage Google Adwords campaigns
o   Drive SEO initiatives and manage paid search campaigns
o   Prioritize, define, and support the development of new features content and updates for websites
o   Manage vendor relations
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education
- Minimum 3+ years of interactive experience
- Must have experience leading post campaign analysis online initiatives
- Experience with coding in SQL to extract data from large relational databases with the ability to write complex SQL queries and triggers.
- Thorough knowledge of SAS, BI, and Enterprise Guide
- Knowledge of online marketing, website and e-communication strategies, as well as Web 2.0 trends and applications
- Understanding of web usability, online content development processes and website management in a CMS environment
- Knowledge of common office computer tools including MS Excel, MS Office etc.
- Experience developing mobile applications
- Accuracy, attention to detail, with excellent proofreading/editing is a must
- Ability to work cohesively with a team and independently in an ever-changing environment.
- Excellent organizational and verbal and written communication skills
- Willingness to take initiative and pursue opportunities to set the pace for the organization
